2 Format of an Informal Invitation
Extending invitations to their friends and relatives on occasions like marriage, birthday, engagement, public function, etc. is a part of social etiquettes. It can be in the form of an invitation card which is a formal way of inviting people or it can be in the form of a note or a letter which is a more informal way of inviting somebody.

Features of an Informal Invitation

1. It is written in the first person.
2. It follows the pattern of ordinary personal letters.
3. The style and tone are relaxed and informal.
4. Different tenses are used as sense demands.
