BACKGROUND
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is best known for the Sherlock Holmes stories. This book, published in 1902, is about a ghostly mad-dog that has haunted a family for hundreds of years. When Sherlock Holmes looks into the mysterious death of Sir Charles Baskerville, strange events begin to take place in the creepy countryside. The story stars the Sherlock Holmes, whom the author based on detective-like professors he had as a medical student in Scotland.
