Study & Exams: How to manage time for study?

How to manage time for study?

No one wastes time intentionally. Time is always wasted in insensible way that’s why a student does not feel when he wastes time but he realizes only during the days of exams. So it is better to utilize the present time more effectively than crying over past in future. If a student wastes time it means he is careless about his study or he does not know how to manage time. So you should know about the importance of time and should be particular about it. You should learn how to manage time.
Managing the time for study means setting the priorities for studying different subjects according to time. It comprises the following:

1. Allocation of time against activities.

2. What should be done first and what should be done next?

3. How much time should be given to a task according to its importance and nature?

4. What is the right time for a task?

5. Which tasks should be avoided in order to save time?

A very single moment which passed once will never come back to be availed. Everybody knows it. Time management helps you do your task in time and utilize your time more productively. It helps you to identify the useless activities which can be avoided and time can be saved. It helps you give proper time to a task and perform the task more efficiently and effectively.

Life improves when you decide to do things differently. The main objective of time management is for you to have a clear picture of your upcoming days, weeks, and months and allocate time wisely, so that you can achieve your goals. It is a way for you to discover what time you have available to devote to study, recreation, or other activities.  If you want to be an Olympic runner or swimmer, you will have to practice several hours a day for years. In the same way, to be a top student you must have a good idea of the study requirements. For each subject, decide how to complete all required tasks, over a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. This advance planning will increase your awareness, making it less likely for you to squander time away meaninglessly.

After establishing your priorities, set up a schedule which respects your priorities. Many students select weekly planners that enable them to see the big picture more easily. Make sure your system is something you are very comfortable with as you will be referring to it often. Then, set up your schedule accordingly.

Plan your activities logically. Get to know your bodily cycle; then, schedule activities around it as much as possible. If you always feel sleepy after lunch, for example, use the time to get in your daily walk, instead of fighting to keep your eyes open over an English book.

You are not a robot. Schedule some time to relax so you can rest and refresh your mind and body. Games and physical exercises are equally important for a student as it keeps him physically and mentally fit. This will boost up your energy and enable you to study more effectively. Get enough sleep as well. Remember, a sleep-deprived student is not going to perform well at his best.
