Q 1: Do you find that all living beings need the same kind of food?
Ans: No. Different animals eat different kinds of food as per their need. This is basically depend on their body structure and internal organs. Depending on kind of food they eat, animals are divided into three basic categories:
- Herbivores: Animals which feed on plants and plant products are called herbivores.
For example: cow, rabbit, dear, goat, elephant, horse, etc.
- Carnivores: Animals which feed on other animals are called carnivores.
For example: tiger, lion, lizard, fox, etc.
- Omnivores: Animals which feed on both plants and animals are called omnivores.
For example: crow, cat, dog, etc.
